Pullout Drawer for Cooler/Freezer

I had the cooler/freezer in the galley and was wondering how to go about building the pullout drawer to it due to the fact that it needs air circulating around it? And how do I know it will be sufficient air movement?

Looks to be vented in the front so if you put in in the tray long wise with the vents to the front it should get plenty of air. If you wanted a drawer front you could put a vented one on and I still think you'd get enough air.

Just my thoughts as I've never tried to build one in.

Do you think I should install a vent through the outside wall in that same location ? Would that help..?

It wont fit long ways in.. so side ways it must be..

Will it be all the way to the side? and on when the hatch is shut, I assume. I'd say probably, it would help from over heating the little motor.
But that puts a permanent hole/vent in the side Maybe if you could vent the floor below it.
I'm sure someone has done this

Heikki, unless the sliding drawer blocks the vent, I wouldn't worry about it...even in a closed galley, I bet the interior temps in your part of the world would never get hot enough to make a difference...remember that these units are made to work in the harsh climes of Australia and other similar places...above the Arctic circle should be no problem...just make sure that nothing is blocking them when the galley is closed up........

Heikki, Jacks right. Those fridges are normally designed to run in temps much higher than you experience. Just make sure about not blocking it completely when it's in it's closed position.

I think I have a pullout figured out.. I just have to put it together and take a pic for your look see.

would there be any difference in stabilizing the tear if I were to mount it in the middle versus the side as some have done?

Is there any difference in this?
