Would this WORK?

Postby sHoootR » Sat Jul 19, 2008 8:06 am

Found this small portable a.c unit and wondered if it would work? About a $100.00 cheaper than a petcool, I'm thinking just set outside and duct into sidewall or through galley, one hole and just crack your vent or windows.......... only about 5# more than a petcool
Also available at Costco

Guy...it might...my questions/concerns would be weather, the petcool is designed to sit out in the weather and return air...does it need return air or is the BTU rating high enough to do with out and thermostatic control...you would need to have a thermostat controlled power outlet(probably) to make it cycle properly(maybe)......

I have a suspicion that MJ is right... it needs return air, or it won’t be able to adjust the humidity or temp in your cabin right...

Mike...
