I would look for parts too, but I'm coming from the wrong direction.

I have Grant bringing me parts just in case. Well not really. The parts he's bringing is so I can finish it when I get back. Or I could do as Guy does. Bring up some tools and work on it at the gathering.

I don't leave until Wednesday, let me know if you need any tools. I have cordless tools or a generator.

Hey, I'm going to be on vacation. No work unless it's on the truck just to keep it going. You know how that goes with old trucks.

I appreciate that, I'll be coming up 99 as far as Sac and then take 5 to Williams and cross over from there. But hopefully I won't have any missing parts from the KIT when I get up there. :worship:

Are you not going to make it?

I just happen to think. I still have to install the hoist in my truck so I can bring up my scooter. Where is all the time going?
:?

Not this one, hopefully the next. I'll keep an eye out for ya as you drive thru Sac. 8)

Here's the latest extended weather conditions for Pamplin Grove...
This only goes up to Saturday.
Looks like we'll be starting out on the cooler side with a warming trend towards the end of the week.
So all you folks coming from 100+ degree climates, bring some layers... Hooded sweatshirts work great.

Minor bummer for those coming up the Avenue of the Giants...
The burger stand at the Chimney Tree is closed.
Doug says it doesn't even look like it's been open at all this year. :(
I took hom out to lunch, so he's OK now.

I was looking forward to a stop there after Doug's description. :(
Any places you recommend in Fortuna or Eureka? How about a BBQ joint?

Not exactly BBQ, but well worth the trip.

If ya like chili dogs, order the double chili cheese dog and make sure you get the garlic fries. Make your order "to go" so you get the fries in the brown sack. They have an awesome chili burger too if you don't want a dog.

Doug H,
It's the fries!!!
Order them with extra garlic and be sure to do as Kev says... Get 'em to go. They don't taste as good if ordered in. I think the steam in the double bag keeps 'em soft an chewy, instead of hard and dry when ordered in, besides there's only room for 3-4 people to dine in. They are on the corner of Broadway (101) and 7th St in Eureka.... Closed Sun. & Mon.
By themselves, the burgers aren't what I'd call anything special, but the fries are what have made this joint world famous.
BTW- We will know whether or not you stopped there when we see you at Pamplin. :R

Why do you think I'm not going to bed tonight?...
I'm in the middle of packing a cargo trailer full of $#(+ that 's gotta be there. :?
BTW- Their chocolate malts aren't too shabby either, a bit spendy, but real tasty if you ask for extra malt. :R
This will most likey be my last post in this thread before the gathering starts.
I will try to give updates, maybe a picture or two during the gathering on my runs into town to feed the animals.

Gonna be a good one...
