I hope you didn't chip bone or hairline fracture. If it swells you might need to put it in a sling - your elbow, that is. hehe

Thanks for all the sympathy for my boo-boo. I thought I might have chipped something but I think it will be ok...it's just sore. It won't stop me from going on that float trip tomorrow!

Have a great weekend everybody! Enjoy IRG!

Becca, I am so sorry about your "boo boo". I know it is called the "funny
bone" but it certainly isn't funny when you hit it. Mine hurts just to think about it. Hope it is better and not chipped.

Hey! I found my camera cord! Here's the Belfry Bat. I've always loved this guy:

And a couple of the Cherry Drop and Turtle in Yellowstone:

And Pam by the Cherry Drop:

It was a fun trip.
Pam, if you've been trying to IM me, it isn't working. I've approved a Bruce 3 times, but nothing is coming through.

flygal6 wrote:Hey everyone,
Sounds like a busy summer for many of you with lots of camping adventures ahead.....safe travels to all. And for the rest of us still trying to get out there some more....keep the faith.
Just an update for you all as its been 4 months or so since I have been on. Made it to our midwest cooler by the lake campout back in April when it was still definitely COOLER. Had great fun with everyone. No camping since but for a very good reason. I have been up to my eyeballs getting my home in Chicagoland sold, finding a new job up in Appleton, WI and just purchased a new home there. First sale finalizes end of this month and I close on the new home the friday before Labor day. I lucked out and got a site in Pennsula State park in beautiful Door County, WI for the holiday weekend. So I am putting all the house stuff aside and making time for at least one other camping weekend for this season and hope to make more in the fall. New job at the hospital is great and love this area and the friendly and welcoming folks here in Wisconsin. I now am only 10 min from my sailboat and this area sits right on a 30 mile long Lake Winnebago. I know this was a great decision to come here.
The best benefit of being here as been my new found friendship with Tammy (packerz) who has been great and quite helpful with my move and launching the sailboat. I met her here and started contacting her last fall and now are great friends as well.
This site as you all know offers so much to so many. I love reading all your stories and about your lives as well.
Miriam I promise to take pics over Labor day.
Great to see this thread is still going strong ladies! Keep the stories coming!
Carol

Wow you two look like long lost sisters camping together :) .
The Turtle looks great and so does the Cherry Drop. Wish I was there good thing you shared the pics with us. I like bats they eat all the mosquitos, I think we have some under a bridge by my house, as soon as the sun gos down they are out and about.

Have Fun

Seeing Pam camping reminds me of her s'mores trick...

Use Fudge Stripe cookies, the ones with the thin layer of chocolate on the bottom, and squish your hot marshmallow in between the chocolate layered sides... yummy and EASY !!!
Wish I had thought of that when my boys were little.

Sam, it sounds like you ladies had a really good time camping. Yellowstone is the most beautiful place I've been...never camped there but lived close enough to visit a few times when the boys were younger. The Turtle and the Cherry Drop are looking good! How far was it from where you live to where you camped?

Howdy all. I haven't checked in on this thread for awhile, and thought I would say hi. I've been out in the T@B a lot so far this year, but now she is put away till mid September. I'm currently on medical leave after having a hysterectomy and bladder tack last Wednesday. I'm finally feeling well enough to spend some time on the computer. If I keep feeling better at this rate, it's going to be a looooong six weeks. I can't lift anything over 10 pounds for a month, so no T@Bing for me for the time being.

I hope everyone else is doing well. I'll have a lot of time to spend on here for a bit :-)
