A big Howdy from So California

Postby DebsDragNfly » Mon Jul 21, 2008 12:41 am

Hi Everyone,

My name is Deb and I just found my way here via surfing the Internet. I found a small winnabego travel trailer on crags list 3 year ago and pulled it home for $200.00 it's been a thorn in my side and the apple of my eye ever since. I got it without the original pink slip "ya I know what your thinking" had to track down the original owner and yes he signed it over to me. He was happy that it was still around and that it landed in my hands. we have talked quite a few times and he lives in TX. In the 60's he used this up in San Francisco as a portable dark room they got rid of all of the original furnishings and equipment and somehow it landed up in So. California just a few blocks from where I live. It was a mess when I got it yet a blank slate but I saw the end result before I even started working on it.
I will post some pictures so you can see my handy work. I couldn't be more proud! I did this myself during the absolute worst time in my life and this really gave me a light at the end of the tunnel with what I was going through medically and emotionally. I now have a close to done trailer! I am happy, healthy and ready to join a few groups now Hope I make a few pals here and find a place to tow my trailer. Oh and as far as the year ... my pink has 0000 for the year! lol even the old owner doesn't know but I am thinking that this has got to be a 1961 and did I tell you hat it's only 11 feet long? I need to fly now so I hope to chat with a few of you and thanks for having such a nice message board here.
