I've been surfing the forum for days. I just bought this 1998 Teardrop American "Outbacker".
Only thing I see that needs repaired is the seal on back hatch and new door locks. Will also get new tires.

I'm going on a 4 week USA road trip this summer and this will work perfect for me.

To see what it looks like there is a thread here on this forum

http://tnttt.com/viewto ... =outbacker

I have orignial paperwork plus specs. I'm posting this as not much info can be found on the net about this teardrop.

Lenght overall 9 feet 4 inches
Width overall 7 feet 6 inches
Height overall 5 feet 6 inches
Roadable weight 400lbs (approx.)
Camper unit weight 225 lbs (approx.)
Tire size 12 X 480
Constructed of polyethylene.

Hi Seattleldy,

Welcome to the forum. A very cool looking trailer. If we can help with your repairs, just ask. I'm sure someone on here can give you ideas where to find the parts you need.

See you around.

Blog URL

As promise here is the url for my blog.
The trailer is working well for us except in the heat. To hot to sleep in, even running a fan.

Nice blog. I didn't see any of your teardrop. I am curious to see what you did with your pod.

Hi

As I left work tonight in Twin Falls Idaho I looked and saw this trailer parked at the motel next to my work. Looked very familar. I check the license plate and from Washington. Had to be you. I got the motel clerk ring your room but you was out. Maybe we will meet face to face later.

Safe trip,
