New from Venice Fl

Postby gphockey » Tue Jul 22, 2008 11:34 am

Hi, My wife and I just returned from tent camping in Grayson Highlands state park in VA (from FL) and met a couple, Marvin and Jennifer from GA, who were camping in a teardrop just a few sites away.
I had an interest in teardrops a few years ago and kicked around the idea of building one.
After getting the grand tour of the camper, seeing how they stayed warm and dry and leaving the campground in a very short time, my interest has returned!
It makes it nice to have the majority of your gear stored in a trailer vs having to continuously pack in and unpack it from a vehicle.
So I appreciate your site and all of your sharing towards building these very special and cool campers.
I hope to start this year so any help you can give would be appreciated.
I will check this site thoughly for all your previous tips and advice.
Thanks, GP

Hey GP,

Welcome to the forum. Venice eh? That's a nice town. I remember driving up and down every street in Venice oh about 10 years ago.

Anyways, keep us posted on your design and your build, and take lots of pictures! :D

Welcome GP,
This site is your guide. All of the information and help that you could imagine is available just by asking. Check out the generic benroy plans-the link is at the top of every page. Even if you don't build that trailer, the plans will give you ideas and help you not to skip any steps.
