Yes, thank you all. We had a grand time. Obviously, a lot of work went into the planning and execution, and it showed. I couldn't have asked for a better gathering.

A huge "thank you" to Joanie, Dean, and Doug for an incredible event. This was our second IRG and decided it was the best vacation we've had in the last decade! The second time around we were more comfortable, knew a few more people, and were able to add some time on to the front end of the trip.

Dean, you are a lucky guy (and a very nice guy yourself); Joanie, you are an amazing woman and a wonder to watch. I am still trying to figure out without coffee where your energy source comes from! Joanne, Kelly, and Steve - thank you so much for all your efforts in making delicious dutch oven creations. Doug, your humor is second to none and I swear you and George were separted at birth. You have some great talents and we appreciated you sharing some of those with us this weekend. Geologist, handwritting analysis, impersonator, decorator, builder, funny guy, dutch oven cook, - where does it end?

We met a lot of great people and were glad to share the camping experience with our good friends Sam and Maria. Teardroppers really do know where it's at - thank you to all for a great time and I hope to see everyone in 2010!

Dean, Joanie and several others, Thank You for a wonderful event. IRG 2 was our first gathering and the first time were able to sleep in our campable trailer.

The event was a fantastic way to get introduced to teardrop camping. What a hoot to see, touch and talk to the owners of so many incredible trailers. We met several people who we plan on keeping in touch with.

We LOVED our first teardrop gathering, thanks!!!!

Another thank you to Dean & Joanie and the many others who helped make it a wonderful gathering. :applause: :applause: :applause:

It was fun catching up with people we had met before and meeting new people, some who had traveled long distances to be there. Plus seeing some trailers in person that I had seen the process of building on the forum. There were plenty of really wonderful trailers to see. Doug Hodder's newest trailer is even more amazing in person than in the photos. The days just seemed to fly by.

Pictures to come, I promise! I didn't even get it "campable" till the Tuesday before we left for IRG. I still have lots to do, but really enjoyed camping in it. You know how all those final touches make you feel llke you accomplished something but take lots of time. I'm in the middle of the time part.

John,

You and Mona where a hoot! What a great sense of humor you guys have and are genuinely really nice people! Just wanted to let you know that "Young Sam", the 12 year old son of Tom from New York, let us know that your teardrop was his favorite. He liked the sleek look and comfortable, roomy inside. Out of all of those incredible teardrops, that is quite a compliment! I can only imagine what it will be like when you have the galley all completed. With your talents you may give Doug H. some serious competion!

Great to meet you and Mona both, it's folks like you two that made the event such a blast!

Oh My God, we just had an earthquake as I was typing - back to normal living in California! Hope everyone is OK!

George, I just looked it up. 5.8 magnitude. I hope you're O.K.

Ahhh, nothing like a campout to give you a kick in the pants to get it done (or at least campable). There are more than a few of us (myself included) who had that self imposed deadline. At least you didn't have to camp in a monsoon with a semi-finished trailer.

There was an obvious cause for this, all of that cast iron leaving the state from Pamplin Grove at one time changed the delicate balance in So Cal.

So far no major damage aside from personal property and a water main or so.

Caryn, Abby & I would like to echo a big thanks to Joanie, Dean, and so many more that worked to organize a wonderful IRG 2.0. It was great to see friends from past gatherings and meet some we only knew via this forum. I didn't think it could be better than the Inaugural Redwood Gathering, but it was. We are looking forward to IRG 3.0. 8)

8) Ahh...I'm still camping at Pamplin....and it is so quiet without all you folks. I had a really, really, really, really, really, really, spectacular time and will write more about it later. I have many thank yous to dole out as well as those magic raffle tickets. Dean is going to drive down and have dinner with me and the Camp Host. I'm cooking a whole bunch of food up in the Food Palace (CookShack) oven....meatloaf, real chili cheese nachos, and spinach pie...along with fruit, cesar salad, ....let's see, I better get moving and return to camp if I want to eat before nine tonight. More thanks to come...look for an update on Nanny Niche on the Pamplin Grove site as well.
