Hi Guys, Just got back from my NY trip which we are now calling our "Back to our roots vacation". Kurt you will appreciate some of what we saw. However I saw nothing that would make me want to move back to that overly populated, over priced, area.

Cindi and I are looking forward to Madison. Can it possibly be hotter than it was in Salamonie last October? It should be fun no matter what the weather does.

NY is (as they say) "a great place to visit"

I'm getting used to the peaceful lack of traffic around Marion. If I want traffic, all I need to do is to go to Fort Wayne or Indy. 8)

Well it's August Madison is 2 weeks away. How many have we got on the roster ? Are we planning a pitch in or are we just gonna sample the goodies at the Fest ?

Kurt,

Cindi & I just looked at the calendar and decided we can be early birds too. We should get down there sometime mid-afternoon on Thursday. If you get there first would you see if you can find a spot for us. I wouldn't expect Thursday to be booked up and then have some people vacate for us on Friday but you never know. If we can't stay in Madison we'll head for Clifty Falls.

What do you think?

I don't want to have too much fun but I'm not sure of the limit on "Too much".

I think a race trip for those that are interested would be fun. It does not have to replace any other outing so we can still keep our quiet campgrounds in the schedule. Instead of Indy though, how about going to Mid-Ohio for a sports car race? I believe they have camping facilities.

Be near the Ribberfest

Postby Rarin2go » Fri Aug 01, 2008 8:08 pm

Hi,
Terri and I will be coming up to see you guys at Ribberfest. We will be at General Butler State Park just a few miles south and east of Madison. Being ex-Hoosiers, we would like to meet some of you fine folks from up north!!! Now help us out, just where is the city campground that you will be staying? We were through Madison just last summer on a trip back to Mooreland, Indiana. Classes of 1961 and 1963!!!! I can't place where the campground is. Help!

Hello Terri glade to hear you'll be stoping by. Not to late to join us if you want.

The campground isn't to far off of 421 that crosses the Ohio river there in Madison on East Vaughn Dr.

Thanks Scott,
We thank you for the invite but our reservations are in. I surely believe that we can find the campground now. Thanks again and see you sometime Saturday AM
