Donna,
Let everyone know what part of the country you are in and you'll have better luck finding one closer to you.
Keep an eye out on Ebay, they come up quite a bit...
Also there are a few manufactures and builders here on this board too.

Donna,

Perhaps you are unaware of this, but using all caps is considered YELLING. Plus it is hard to read.

There is a huge amount of information right here on the forum that may help you out.

As for manufacturers vs buying used, - I don't have any first hand info, but I would think it depends. With a manufacturer, the construction should be pretty reliable. Privatly built 'Drops could be built by a knuckle head or a craftsman. It would be up to you to make a decision which based on what you can see.

You're hurtin' my ears girl! :? Drop down to lower case letters or someone with think you're mad at them. It's a pretty good group of people we have here on this site. If you'll stick around and participate for a while you'll learn everything you need to know to make a informed decision about tears. I've only been on this site since the middle of May and I've learned so much about tears I can't believe it.
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

Our trailers are 5'x10' with a 60"x80" bed.

You can see some shots of a Freedom in my personal album and also at http://duffyscavern.org/teardrop_travels.htm

And if you show up in town with a problem, they provide instant service.

Have tear drop for sale

Postby Red » Sun Jul 17, 2005 12:26 pm

Donna, If you are still looking for a tear drop, I have a 1947 Ken-Skill Tear Drop for sale and I am also in California. With some cleaning up, I think that it could be used during restoration. That was our plan, but things changed. We are asking $2000.00 or best offer for it. Let me know if you are interested and I can email you pictures. Just a note, I think we live near each other.
