I did a mock-up/test fit for one of the doors with the window installed. I think it's going to work for me! I will probably re-locate the handle a little lower down though.

Looks good to me!!!!

I was kind of concerned about running the piano hinge on the outside on mine and not having a lot of wood stock (Not the Music Festival) around my window on the door; but after seeing your mockup, I'm pretty sure mine will work. Keep up the good work, it's keeping me on track!!!


PS.... your pic also showed me how you finished off the vinyl on the front edge. It answered another question I was thinking about asking, considering I am also contemplating going vinyl!!

Yeah, I really didn't want to do that with the piano hinge but i decided not to try to screw into the end grain of the plywood. MJ pointed me in the right direction and I've noticed that there are at least afew commercially built teardrops that have the exposed hinge. In all actuality it looks more noticeable in the pic than in the "flesh" so to speak.
