Aging

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking about growing older, I like the word growing, sounds better than( pushing) 50 . I just would like to know why hair stops growing in some places , and starts growing in others?

Old lines

"I'm older'n dirt"

"I founded the company that made tablets for Moses"

"I didn't get older but my hair did,now it can't catch-up to my head."

I actually don't mind getting old,I just consider the alternative and I'm fine with it.

In a couple of weeks, when I "attain 76 years of age", I can say oh boy, in another 24 years I'll be 100!
Roly, still with all of my teeth, some of my hair and occasional nasty thoughts (thank goodness).

I'm 51, just started a new trade after spending 30+ years in the glazing trade and my new trade is way rougher on the body.
I did a demonstration today for my neighbor... I walked out on my concrete patio and dropped to my knees without catching my fall.
This would be something you'd see a kid do while playing and say to yourself, "That'd put me in the hospital!"
My secret?.... Skillers

Now I think I'm going down to the well tonight
and I'm going to drink till I get my fill
And I hope when I get old I don't sit around thinking about it
but I probably will
Yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture
a little of the glory of, well time slips away
and leaves you with nothing mister but
boring stories of glory days

That reminds me.

I went to a family reunion this past weekend. One of my mother's cousins, who is in poor health (she is restricted to a wheelchair, has difficulty using her hands, speaks very softly, but still has her beautiful smile that I remember from 25 years ago) said that she had been to her 60th anniversary of her college graduation and had had a wonderful time this summer. My response to her was "Wow! You really are older than dirt!" The smile that broke out on her face and her laugh was all the reward I needed to know that going to the family reunion was one of the best uses of my time and money last weekend.

Thank you for reminding me of that moment.

Andrea.

At 50 plus, the wife says "we're in the cocktail hour of life" LOL

Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.

I just turned 60 a little over a week ago. I say "I keep on moving to keep on moving". And when I wake up every morning it is going to be another great and beautiful day; come ---- or high water.

We were camping with tear drop friends on that birthday. It was a wonderful way to celebrate.
