I lived in a trailer in Malibu for a while, I thought the roof would be a great place to store some 4X4 sheet metal Oh yes I put some cinder blocks on it and yet the annual Santa Ana winds decided to make flying razor blades out of them. No one was injured but dang what a scary thing to see.

I had that happen with 30' sheets of corrugated roofing once, they were all tied down to the roof perlins but the winds were so strong it cut the ropes and set them sailing. If the guy that was with me would have looked to see what was happening instead of just running when I yelled at him he would have been legless from the knees down. I never would have thought those sheets could fly so nice and level like that. Flying sheet-metal is a scary sight!!

Even the 'wind shadow' of a 4x8 sheet of plywood is big enough to rip it right out of your hands when the breeze gets over 6-7 mph..... found this out at Home Depot one day.....
