Mike

WOOHOO....... bring it on baby !!!

I guess Eduardo or whatever the weather thing is called is going to cool it down for us !!! weatherchannel.com says Friday is 88* and Saturday about 92* (?) there is about a 30% chance of precip but as hot as it's been between OKC and DFW , the rain will probably turn to steam as it hits the ground!!!

See y'all !!!!

UPDATE ON THE WEATHER !!!!!!!!

Well, just to let you know .... our high in OKC today was to be 96* but here it is , 2 pm and they said it's 89* outside !!!

The forecast for here and down at Caney Creek (Kingston, OK) for Friday is a high of 88* and for Saturday , 93* .... so maybe we'll get a good break from the heat !!!!

There is a chance of slight thunderstorms... but who cares? I don't !!!
I have a new tan (gold to me) First Up Canopy too !!!

Can't wait to see everyone !!!
Travel safe !!!

PS --------------- ffffooodddd

I bought a dozen eggs and planning to do deviled eggs for Saturday night potluck.... and some other side dish, likely little corn on the cob.

might grill up a bunch of chicken drumsticks for lunch that day or Friday night, and can put leftovers in the potluck.

The weather is really cooling down ... it should be 88* this Saturday down there, but humid and the chance of a "scattered" or "isolated" thunderstorm has increased.... eek!!!!
http://www.weather.com/weather/weekend/ ... rom=search

I just hope it doesn't POUR down rain... I don't think it will... I have a new tan colored (gold to me ) First Up canopy and my leak at my galley hinge thing is fixed now so ... whatever - a little rain doesn't scare me! I'll have enough butt to put in a chair and beverages to guzzle down ... haha I just want to relax this weekend anyway.

One of my camping memories from a kid was that we had to sit one morning at Lake Eufaula inside the truck camper and watch it pour down ..... mom couldn't really cook breakfast but grabbed a few things... we ate boiled eggs and Fritos. Hopefully among other things -- but my dad would always remind me of that "breakfast"

OH -- and if it rains too much... heck ! there is a huge casino just west of Kingston over in Durant -- my elderly neighbor goes there quite a bit and told me to go get his $125 back.

haha

Julie
I hope you have a great weekend.
My daughter and family got here from Durant yesterday. It has been hot here , but nothing like you have had. Has cooled down in the last couple days. My son-in law has already said he doesn't want to go home until October. He wishes he would have packed some long pants, though.
