101 ways to know if you are addicted to teardrop trailers...

General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

You might be addicted if you look at other peoples photo's lookin for ideas. (Jeff Foxworthy eat your heart out. Being redneck is nowhere addictive as T&TTT). Redneck is easy and cheap, T&TTT is not!

You buy stainless steel screws in boxes of 100 and still don't have enough.

You search Craig's List every day for stuff that might be useful for a teardrop.

You find yourself looking for "retro" stuff just to help create the mood you want to achieve. For instance, that old time hand held egg beater instead of the new nifty 12V electric wonder.

If you find yourself looking at other peoples scrap wood thinking I could use that piece for this project.

If you find yourself camping in January in the Midwest because spring is to far away to wait.

I was expecting to see something like...

You buy another HF trailer because it is on sale and you can use it to "build a practice trailer, just to determine what build techniques, and features I really want."

You find yourself awake in the middle of the night and the first thing you do is check onto a forum to see what new pics you might have missed.

 OK it is a sickness I just came from Wal-Mart where I saw a tiny electric fireplace and all I could think was I have the perfect place for that. I even went to hardware and got a tape measure to see how big the display was, I think it will fit in front of the futon.

You visit your family over the holidays and almost the first thing they ask is "did you notice the teardrop down the street?" (it was a Little Guy 6 wide)

You occasionaly cruise alleyways looking for other teardrops or TTTs and then re-visit the alleys that you've spotted them in for ideas.

You spend $1200 on your teardrop and haven't even started building it yet.

Looking at Steve Frederick's build photos, and realizing you may need a few more clamps of every kind.

The Mrs starts cleaning the shop by throwing out all the pieces of scrap plywood and you get the shakes because you just know that you are going to need some of those for cabinet work.

Anyone suffering the teardrop shakes? Come on, fess up, share your addiction here. What are the reasons why you think someone may be a "teardropaholic".

You might be addicted if you start collecting those tiny miniature kid toys that look like a teardrop, or trailer behind a matching car.
