Introducing Little Hog to the forum for the very first time!!!...

Image
He was given to me as a pup back in '01.
I never dreamed I'd be able to take him to a gathering, just too High Enegy Henry if you know what I mean...
My old faithful dog Chance recently passed away and I noticed right away that Little Hog's behavior instantly changed... for the better.
He's a full blooded Jack Russel, except he's short legged and long haired... They are usually the other way around, long legged and short haired.
Joanie has been working with him extensively since Chance's passing and I decided to give him a go at teardrop camping this weekend.
He's the only little dog I've ever had... Wouldn't have been of my choosing, but I gotta tell yaa... He passed with flying colors!!!
In fact... He's still camping right now with TDN. (No idea when they will be home)
He's her "Little Chore Boy!"
You will be seeing him at gatherings for sure!

I know what you mean Dean, about not getting to choose your own dog.
I have inherited a "Pug" I wouldn't have normally chosen as my pet of choice. I already own a "pound dog", and didn't think "Tank" would make a very good camping dog, but I was very wrong!
He loves car trips and camping, loves kayaking and the water but cannot swim, so he has his own life preserver.

Here is Tank helping me build the TD.

This is the reason for our existence! Ted E. Bear, a 13 year old (he wasn't that old in these pix) Bichon Frise.

This is Carmen, my babe. She's 7 and she's half Pomeranian and half Chow. She's mostly an inside girl, but enjoys getting a suntan when she's outside!

I think it's time this thread got a shot in the arm!

Here's my herd!

Joey. 6 year old chihuahua / terrier mix. She looks different every year!
Image
Image
Image
Image

Jaimee. 5 year old Papillon. Sheds a dog a week, brainless, but we lover her anyway! She's not really ours, she belongs to Joey.
Image
Image
Image

Sadie. About 3 years old. Rescued from the pound the day before she was going to be put down. She was so skinny and worn out. She weighed 45 pounds. Weighs about 70 lbs now. Have no idea what she is. German shepherd / Golden retriever mix??
Image

Finally, Moby Jack. Some kind of terrier mix. We were supposed to foster him until my beloved could find him a home. I don't think she looked very hard...
Image

Moby hasn't been hiking yet, but as soon as the temperatures drop below 100º, we are heading out!
Image

Don't know yet how we will camp with 4 dogs, but we did it with 3! I guess we will manage!
God Bless

Cliff

Well, I posted a picture in the newbie section but I am inordinately fond of this little mutt so here she is again.

She is currently teaching me how to act in order to get her to perform Agility. At 61 I am not an athlete, at 20 I was not an athlete but I am running now.

This is Chili Pepper:

The next 2 pics are a little messed up because I dropped the "non-waterproof" disposable camera in the water.

Somehow I seem to have missed putting Bruno's picture in this thread. So here he is Bruno the Wonder Dog (cause he is always wondering about something).
