Welcome aboard, Terry and Susan. First you must make a list of all of the things about tent-camping, while it is still fresh in your mind, as you may want to review it later, once the teardrop is a reality.
Let's see, first you scrape away the rocks from below the tent floor, drive in the required tent stakes, erect the tent, with proper ropes to prevent it from being blown away. Then you sweep out the leaves and spiders, and attend to the blow-up-the-mattress chore, carry all of the stuff from the car and stack it somewhere within the tent. Now comes the fun part, you may be sleeping on the ground and finding a few rocks that still remain, and the always present danger of creepy-crawlers entering your canvas home as the unexpected rain shower soaks your sleeping bags at 2 AM.
These events will be but a distant memory when you find that in a teardrop, your bed is always made and up off of the ground in the insect-free interior. Dropping off to sleep will be so peaceful, knowing that your kitchen and all of the goodies are being protected within the enclosed gallery, away from varmints and any hungry bears that may be nearby.
An early morning cup of coffee and bacon and eggs breakfast is just the thing to encourage your fellow campers to stroll by and admire the cute little camping trailer of your own creation. (Do you really sleep in there?)
Glad you found us, ask any questions you need answers to and take plenty of pics during the construction effort. Good luck on your build.

Roly.........Now, what size will it be, what shape, planned galley layout and exterior covering is being considered?
