Visiting Your Region

Postby edlfrey » Sun Aug 10, 2008 4:40 pm

Hi South Central Teardropers!

I will be passing through your region in September and I'm looking for company. This will be an around the USA trip for me and I'll be looking to stop an rest in your area.
I'm most interested in meeting up with fellow Teardropers in Eastern OK, or anywhere in AR or LA during the period 9/19-21.

Anyone camping that weekend? :)

There's no way that I'll be far enough along to be camping by then, but if you are in south AR, stop by and check out my build :) . Too bad you're not in the area a month later, then you could join us for the LCGIII.

Thanks for the invite - El Dorado, AR is "kind of" on my anticipated route. I may try and stop by depending on how my travels work out. I'll PM you IF I'm going to do so!

Cool !!!! I have been trying to decide on a place in N/E Oklahoma possibly that weekend of the 19th ....

Are you going east on I-40 ? I have thought of a lake / park that wouldn't be but an hour or so off the interstate. I'm hoping some Ok/Ar/Mo/Ks folks would make it.

Julie,

I'm going East - but I don't travel Interstate Highways. In 2007 I drove 12,000 + miles in 29 states and was on Interstates for less than 500 of those miles. I'm in no hurry, don't know for sure from day to day where I'm going nor how I'm going to get there. I usually have a destination each week but I do a lot of wandering around to get there.

Pick a spot for that weekend and I'll see if I can get to it. :R

I'm on a budget, that means "poor", pick an Corps Recreaction site if possible!
