Hi All,

Just bought a teardrop. A homemeade one unfinished inside. I've just given it a couple of coats of paint inside and have plans to fix it up a bit. I want to build a frame for a single bed with storage shelves under it. First trip is this weekend to Presq'ile Provincial Park. Close to home for me and the dog. Looking forward to many trips. I live in Picton Ontario Canada. Any other teardropers near me?

Welcome Suzanne,

Arizona is a bit away for you, but a great place to visit in the winter.

Welcome to the forum, Susanne. Are you anywhere near Penticton? Been through there some years ago. Post some pics of your little gem, perhaps we can make some suggestions on how to go about making your changes. Good luck, and come on down and catch a Gathering sometime.

I'm about as far away from you as I can get! But love the pictures! Can you take a nd post a picture of the front? It looks like the front window is either missing or opens up?
God Bless

Welcome there new teardrop owner! Thats a cutie, have fun in the design of the interior, You need to get to some gatherings so you can see just how little room you really need. Find the trailer "ladybug" and see if you can see some insides of it.

I noticed the tongue is really short, if you ever get a chance to corner a welder someday, a longer tongue will backup easier and seems to tow smother too.

I see on closer inspection that what I thought was a window from the inside is actually an opening in the "Galley side". How long is this cutie? Maybe you could put something to keep plastic containers from sliding (just a 2x4 screwed to the floor would work) and you could use the port as access to your kitchen stuff, as it doesn't appear to have a galley.

I think "Little Cutie" is a good name for your trailer!

Hi All!

I've been wondering about a name for it. Little Cutie sounds like the best bet so far.

Penticton is in British Columbia. Very far away from me. I am near the 1000 Island Bridge in New York State. That will be where I cross over into the USA.

I don't think I will be able to put in a proper galley. But I agree, storage of the kitchen camping equipment will fit well in the small opening. I was planning on closing it in from the inside like traditional teardrops. That way it wont slide around.

A friend who came to look it over before I bought it pointed out that a longer tongue would be helpful. It will be on my to do list. On the plus side is it is so light that I can just push it into position.

Image to the playground Suzied. Think you should call it Suzied Cutie cause it is way cute. The hatch in the back might be to get the mattress in and out if it is only 76 or so inches inside. You should still be able to get a half hatch in the top back if you study it long enough.

Enjoy the site and thanks for the pictures. 8)

Hi John,

Wow what a difference!! Did some practice driving the trailer around today with my friend who came to see it with me. He is the one who said the tongue would be a problem same as you mentioned. Lucky for me he has an incredible workshop. Turns out tonge is adjustable and was a the shortest setting. It is now twice as long. Then I did more driving around. Way easier!! I will post pics of the first camping trip this coming week.
