I just purchased new harbor freight wheels and tires for my trailer to update the rolling stock. I had the original wheels and tires but they were pretty old and the tires were weather checked but still hold air and run smooth. The point to the story is that the old wheels had nice baby moon hubcaps on it. The new wheels have nothing and I would love a way to cover up the center hub.

If anyone could tell where to find some center caps relatively inexpensive I would appreciate it. I saw a few on line for trailers and a couple for 12" golf cart specialty wheels, but the S & H was a little much. I guess I would have to expect that. But if anyone else has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Thanks for the info. The baby moons won't fit my wheels unfortunately. I checked out the site but put in a question to them on the specs for some center caps they have to make sure they will fit.

I finally gave up looking for Baby Moons that would fit the HF trailer and then HF were kind enough to recently retail some chrome wheels that fit perfectly: Philip

Any luck finding the center caps for those? I just don't want to see the ugly axle hanging out of the center of the wheel. Love the chromies though!

This trailer was at IRG, his frame is an HF frame, the hub caps are baby moons. I was going to get a web page but forgot to follow up on his source.

Those are smoothies and not baby moons - Baby moons don't cover the entire wheel, like the smoothies do

Well no but I'm going to get the center/hub cap chromed to match, you know the 2-3 inch axle bearing/grease cover. I think that will look good.

Oh, ok, sorry, the owner said something about the company being baby moons. I did not get clarification. What ever it is, I like the solution for a HF wheel cover. He said a chrome finish was also available, but picked that finish because of the woodie. Hopefully the owner will see their picture and chime in.

I may be giving my age away; but my first choice would be black center Cragar mags; but since they didn't make them in a 4 bolt pattern, I am also switching to the HF chromies. Hopefully I'll be able to find some chrome acorn lug nuts in the right thread pattern. I'd love to chrome the dust/grease cap; but if that don't happen, I will just paint the part of the hub and cap that shows to match the color scheme of the trailer when I decide on one!!

Shouldn't be a problem. I believe they are a standard 1/2-20 fine thread stud. :thumbsup:

truck stops have those thin chrome lugnut covers there for the bullet look, worth looking into.

I am thinking those flashing led valve covers for mine,, yeah they are cheap looking and scream rice but theres these ones that flash red white and blue that i thing are the bomb!

I've posted this before, but thought you guys might like this idea. Doesn't solve the hub cover problem, but creates a whole different look and is pretty cheap too!

I do like that idea, i wonder though. How will the stock 12x?? tired take being unmounted and remounted?

Do you have to paint the actual wheels, or are you suggesting that just editing the photo is enough........?? :thinking:
