Do you install the fender prior to installing the inner skin or do you bolt the fender through the skin. Does anyone have picture done both ways.
I'm probably over complicating it when it's probably a very simple installation.

I'm thinking that I can make a threaded metal bolt pattern to attach on the outer skin and bolt the the fender on that with the bolt running in to the wall ,but not long enough where it protrudes through the inner skin...

What do you think.

I used T-nuts, which were then covered by the inner skin.

Greg

Locate the fender as if you were going to install it
Locate/mark mounting locations, set fender aside
Pre-drill and install T-nuts on inner surface of outer wall
Now you can insulate, skin interior anyway you would like
On the exterior, you should have at least two holes that went through your frame that will be accesible, even if you skin the exterior.
Pilot drill and mount the fender useing the holes in the frame, use the fender to relocate the the holes that may now be covered by an exterior skin, pilot drill and insert your bolts, the T-nuts are there for you.

Just one way to do it.
