Thant's some really cool trail riding. Wish that I had some of that around here. It sure remindes me of when I was in So Cal and used to ride on the Palos Verde Peninsula all of the time!!!

Video never really gives you the true sensation of how steep or rough it is!! Having done a bunch of that, though, I can get the idea!!!

Thanks!

When I still had working knees I did two trips through the San Juan Islands (WA-Canada) with Bicycle Adventures. Great trips and not across the Ocean. (but across Puget Sound)

Palos Verdes Penisula, did that a number of times but only the perimeter. I never tried going over the top. I never was a hill climber. Most of the time I was running around the peninsula. 21 miles was a good start to a Sunday morning. Alas that is were I left my knees too.

Austin, Minnesota has a lot of good riding trails also and after you can go on a tour at the SPAM Museum

That looks like so much fun! I've been looking for a good deal on vintage steel, preferably a mixte, for utility cycling. The prices for that sort of thing have run up a lot of late thanks to people looking for commuter/errand cycles. Gas prices ya know.

I'm still hoping one will appear out of someone's garage.
