You might not need the A/C unless the trailer gets hot inside at night
The nightly high temperature is supposed to be only 66 deg max.

I just figure I'll throw it in the Van just in case. Hope to not have to use it.
I'll probably need it in Oct

Might be a bit late to post this but my mother is up to see us and called frantic to warn us. Someone towing a trailer lost it on S.R. 7 if memory serves me this is hanging rock hill. FOLKS IT'S STEEP. 421 is the best direct decent into downtown Madison. If you are coming in from the West find the Madison airport on the map and decend way west of town and find 56 east you will drive a scenic route beside the river and drive clear thru down town Madison (all 16+ blocks) but its a lot less exciting than THE HILL. Hopeing everyone has a safe trip down and see ya there

Terri and I want to thank you for showing us your personal projects of love, your teardrops!! We did so enjoy the wonderful work and various ideas that you have all put into your trailers. We hope to see you at some time and some place in the future. True to form, we conducted about 15 tours of our trailer at General Butler State Park. Once again thanks and you people are great.

For those of you who missed it. Morning fog on the Ohio made it look like smoke on the water. A glorious full moon at night. 80+ days and 60 degree nights. We finally had an outing where we were able to meet and talk with EVERYONE of our fellow teardroppers ( and TTT's ) The civilians were a hoot. They would drive by with their mouths wide open and bug eyed and we would holler them over and they would jump out and run to investigate. We stopped at Mc Donalds on the way down for a potty stop and emptied 2 tables and one of the employees was in a bit of trouble for coming out to investigate. Gatherings are the Best. Wish you were there.

P.S. Forgot the best part stopped for gas in Brownsburg on the way home and the counter attendant seriously asked me to build him a TD shell. I told him I had the frame and a 3rd started so get with me and money talks.

Two down; one to go.

Our gathering at Madison was another moment in time as we watched the barges passing on the Ohio River in front of the camp sites. The Ribberfest and the surrounding attractions seemed to have a place for all who attended.

Madison has a special interest for me since it's the first spot that I camped out in my teardrop in 2001. What a way to start!

Thanks for the great attendance and the personal interest that we all were able to share.
New friends stopped by throuout the weekend to visit and see the teardrops.

Bob is right in saying " We finally had an outing where we were able to meet and talk with EVERYONE of our fellow teardroppers ( and TTT's ) "

Thanks to everyone for all of the help at the campground. :applause:

Dan, thanks for posting the pictures.

I'm curious to see if anyone recognizes the waffle iron. It sure was different. I still think Jarred should send another ten dollars to the seller.

Kurt,

I don't want to overdo the thank you thing...but you deserve it, so...

Thank you Kurt!

In all the years we've been doing these teardrop campouts, you've been there with a smile and great attitude.
Now that you're the director, nothing has changed (except that you're a lot older and retired ;) )

Thanks for sharing your secret camping spot in Madison with us.
It was a long drive, but worth every effort.

Your new sidekick Scott deserves a big thank you as well!

Thanks Scott!

You two make a great team.

Rob

Rob, you can't overdo the thank yous because there are so many to go around. Scott is our "right hand" man and does a great job on the maps, T-shirts and other stuff. It's really a "co-Director" job for both of us.

The "big" thanks goes out to everyone who attends the gatherings. No matter how much effort and time is put in to the planning, the result is always based on the attendance and the fun we all have.

As you all witnessed last weekend, Madison is one of my favorite places. I'll be at next year's Ribberfest just like I've been to the last 7 years, regardless of our gathering schedule. (schedule or not)

I really like the gatherings that have a "built in" entertainment like Madison and the "Brown County blowout" in the spring.
I think it makes our ("Hoosier Chapter") gathering different from others.

Everyone deserves a round of applause for the fun we had and the friends we made. That's what I envision to be main goal of the gatherings. :applause: :applause:

"Salamonie" is just around the corner (October 10-11) but I constatnly look forward to gatherings in 2009. I'll come up with something that has interest to most everyone as the year goes by.

I want to thank everyone for the courtesy given to me and my girls Saturday even though we were just stopping in for a visit.
Special thanks to Scott for supplying the portable fort/playground. ( the rolling stone) My girls went from Aww do we have to go? to we had a great time when can we do it again?!! Let me know what the damages are $>

I really enjoyed the time sitting down and getting to visit with everyone. It was great being there and not having a long "to do" list. I plan on not missing the next gathering at Madison with the tear.

Good news about John Spratt. Rose sent me a message about his sugery and status.

"Kurt,
John 's surgery went well, they did four bypasses. I believe it was extra long because they had trouble finding good "conduits". Thursday morn. he was alreadyin great humor even on morphen and drug friends!!

Rose"

Hope he gets well soon enough for Salamonie. If not he'll certainly be ready by spring.
