I have been reading this forum for the last few days and nights... I am missing a lot of sleep here, this is ALMOST as addicting as my Sami. I mostly answer to shorty, but almost anything works.
I actually started looking here after looking for different ways to go when taking my sami out for a beating offroad... toter, schoolie, toy hauler, Convert Uhaul box truck, cut down box on to my utility trailer, flat bedding my tow rig, and several other ideas... But I am just plain too cheap for all of those and would prefer to do something once and not touch it again.
I HATE sleeping on the ground and in the weather without A/C(I am short, fat, and LAZZY!!) so I started looking around and found this place and have been thinking about a convert cargo trailer. 7' X 18' or 20' is the size I am looking for, to tow the sami inside and then roll out to make into a camper.
I have been thinking about a way to stow the kids mid level bed out of the way when the sami is inside... and I came up with garage door tracks mounted to the side of the walls that run from the rear to front and just before the side door, the track will curve up and over the door way almost against the ceiling. I have been doing some lay out in google scratch pad 3d, but I don't know how to get the pics to be postable...
Me, wife, and 2 kids make our suburban useless as a Redneck RV now... so it will be sold for a 3/4 crew cab truck. We are heading up to Gilmer in one week for the last camping trip in the burb, hopefully anyways.
