Door trim & weather stripping????

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

I'm hopeless--it doesn't help. (But you get an A for effort.)

I'll wait until someone does it and I can see some pictures.

Ira,

Are you building the doors themselves like the Cubby plans show? If so, then you just wrap the door edge with an aluminum strip (skin) and then apply the angle trim on the inside of the door and T-molding on the outside of the door, except along the hinge side. (see page 44 in manual). Use regular angle tgrim on the hinge side of the door. Then you put weatherstripping of 3/8" dese foam on the hinge side of the doors and use silicone tubing on the rest of the door. Put the weatherstripping up against the inside of the T-Moulding and it will make a seal between the door and the outside skin of the tear.

All good info guys..... My windows are supposed to be here today so that will mean I can get going on the doors. Just to help me clarify how they need to be sealed I am going to swing by the local RV store and look at the doors on their campers. That should help a lot... :D

madjack,

You might want to downsize that sketch a bit, you have to scroll back and forth and up and down to see it.

I shall go to lunch, return, and study the above in detail.

Maybe a few Buds will help my comprehension.

Looks good Boodro!

Will that T-molding bend around a 6" corner?

Does anyone know where I can get T-molding that is soft enough to bend?
