Except for the mattress the Rimple is completed and ready for a road test. Thank you Andrew for the designs. Took a little less the 8 months. Had a ball building it.

Thanks Gary for the kind words. Although I have had the Minden notice pinned on the wall since it came out, I had plans to try and go, however, Somethings just do not work out. I will not be going to this years gathering. However, I do like the idea of a local drag somewhere close by, say within a 100 miles or so. I will be alert to anything local that may come up. I do know that In August I will be using the trailer. I built the trailer in the first place to get away from having to sleep in a tent when I go to my yearly archeological (volunteer) dig. I really am too old to sleep and care for a tent. (67)- I plan on calling my trailer the Gypsy, Not very original, I Know, but if you happen to pass a rimple named Gypsy. Honk, It's only me.

I am planning to build the rimple as well. Really like the design features of maximum space in the galley.
did you find that when complete its a bit heavy in the back? not enough tongue weight?

I was checking out your site and got to looking at your a/c unit. Is the plug still attached to the back? I took mine out so that the condensation can drain better. The bottom of my unit is designed as a tray to hold the condensation, with the plug removed, it will drain out the back before the tray overflows. Yours may be different but you may want to check into it.

Thanks. The angle is 45 degrees. The framing underneath has pieces running all the way across the width of the trailer that I ripped on the table saw that is 45 degrees to match the angle. The front piece of plywood and the top piece of plywood were cut with a circular saw to match the angle also as they butt together. The narrow piece going all the way across was cut on the table saw to match the angles to match the butt joint. Then glued, stapled and screwed down. I sealed it with some metal I found at Home Depot. It's some really thin stuff that I believe is normally used to fit underneath the edge of the shingles on your roof called drip edge I believe. It comes white and easy to bend. It was originally a 90 degree angle but being so thin it was easy to conform it to the correct angle to get a good professional looking fit using a lot of pan head screws. An ample bead of silicone is underneath these pieces of metal as is all the metal on my camper. The pic shows the metal. Sorry I don't have a closer pic.

I moved my cord to around the side to get it out of the way of the slide in and slide out motion. Yes, I removed the plug. Have been running it for a few days and seems to be no problem with drainage. Trailer needs to be level though or it won't all drain out.
