Just returned from a Tybee Island Vacation. We checked out the Island campground while we were there. It is very small but many of the sites are under large oak trees with hanging moss. It is located on the end of the Island with a river on one side and the ocean within walking distance on the other. It backs up to the police station and a dog park for large dogs. We actually found the campground because we took our chocolate lab to the dog park.(He did not like it!) So we walked through the campground instead. Be warned ahead, if you plan to visit NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON THE BEACH $300.00 FINE! There have bike trails, a fishing pier, an ocean pier where bands play and they even had a fireworks show.If you like cute cottages, beautiful beaches, friendly people with a small town atmosphere, you will like Tybee.Kf
