New from Minn. with a Camp-Inn 550 Ultra

Postby FalconMan » Sun Sep 14, 2008 10:00 pm

Hi all,

I have been lurking on this forum for some time.

In June of '07, we ordered our 550 Ultra (#229) and received it in the spring of '08. May I say, my wife and I are very happy with the tear drop.

We live in a NW suburb of Minneapolis. The vehicle of choice to tow the new trailer is our 36 ford 3 window coupe street rod. The tear drop looks really cool behind the coupe.

So with the 550, we ordered the TV and the air. I did not want the moon roof or the fan mainly because of the 'look'. Being we are from Minnesota and are used to cool weather camping, the heater really did not interest us.

We have used it several times and absolutely love it. We just need to learn what and where to pack the stuff. My coupe does not have a lot of room for gear.

I'll post some photos in the near future.

Doug

FalconMan, welcome to the forum. You just have to be the proudest teardrop owner, bar none. You have made an excellent choice, and if you ever want to trade "up" to a woody, I'll make you a deal straight across. The Camp-Inn is one fine trailer and I know you will have a ball in it along with your coupe. Good luck on your camping trips, and hope you get involved with some of the midwest gatherings back there.

Welcome Doug! We all look forward to meeting you some day! As Betsey said, Tearjerkers is a good way to meet others while camping. We have a couple gatherings planned for September and October. Betsey's Camp Inn campout will be awesome this month and in October there are a few of us getting together at Interstate State Park (Minnesota), not to far a drive from you! if you could resize the pic in your aug 26 note (only one with car and trailer), the need to scroll back and forth will go away....

Thanks, and a very nice looking t/d, auto combo.

Awesome set up. Absolutly love the coupe and the tear with matching TorqueThrusts on it. WE did the same with our homebuilt and our chevy pick-up. Would be really neat if you could make it to Camp-in gathering in Castle Rock. The more rods the better.

Dennis & Faye

Ya gotta drive em

Yep... just done it. I did not realize that I did not shrink that photo down until I looked at it this morning. I should know better

Dennis,

Glad you like the set up. I was the first in 229 orders at Camp-Inn to order a trailer without the wheels. At first, they were a little surprised at the request. The credit I got was almost enough to pay for the torque thrusters !

Welcome Doug,
I'm a fellow Minnesotan, nice trailer you have there. I'm across the river in St. Paul. I go to most of the local and distant gatherings. Hope to see you at the Campinn - campout.
