Under Hatch - Wall Edge Question

Ive been trying to find some aluminum moulding to go under the hatch wall edge however without much success.

One is that I cant find aluminum that is soft enough to bend. Just the hard profiles U shape and right angle.

What can be used ? Can I use flat stock profile and what should it be installed with?

Here is a photo of the edge and at the moment it is sealed and covered with a rubber seal however it seems to wear out quickly. So Id like to take that off and install with somthing else.

I,ll go with the flat stock since Ive got a few pieces of it.

I used the same thing as Gage. It works great. You can sometimes find it in hardware stores too, since it's used for countertop edges and the like.

Gage or Dean would you have an actual photo of it? maybe I can possibly find somthing equivalent here.

I tried the flat stock I have on hand and it just doesnt fit right nor does it look good.

Heikki, I know your looking for aluminum but... I use Fastcap Fastedge. It's easy, cheap, waterproof and comes in colors and wood grain. Excellent stuff . Danny

Never even came to mind using such Danny. And I know Our huge Homebuilder Store has them available. Good Idea.

I tried annealing for the 1st time with the wife yesterday. We found an aluminum right angle profile that is thin and in our minds is fairly soft as well. However its narrow by 1mm. And its because I have a thin layer of mahogany veneer on the interior.

Gee what a disappointment. And I dont think aluminum can be stretched that much to be able to rubber hammer it in to fit..

almost afraid to attempt it.. I,ll check and see if that same profile is available in just a tad wider witdth..

I,ll get a pic of what I have done. Gee talk about perserverence.
