Hi from Summersville, Wv. 2008 TD Build

Postby John T. Hodgen » Tue Sep 16, 2008 11:27 am

Hi everyone,
I've been reading this forum for about 6 months and back on 24th of July I registered as a member. I started out on Aug 5th buying a new trailer from one of the farming supply co. at a cost of $278 and $330 of wood for a box store. As of now(Sept.16th) I have the floor done, doors handmade and on, walls up, interior ceiling panel in and the front closet is done. I'm taking a few days rest-its been a busy 5 1/2 weeks! I'm hoping to have it done by Nov. I now have about 1150 total in this build. Hope everyones build is going great. Many new people here since I joined(249 in fact!). Take a look at my album for pictures of the build more to follow!! [/img]

Hello John, wellcomel looks as though your build is coming along great!

At this rate you should be done (these thing have a way of never really being done), but at least you should be ready to roll for some great camping.

Remember though, the real time is in the details, but if your front cabinets are any indication, the details won't be too much of a problem.

Al,
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement, I've learned alot what to do/not to do and I'm still :? . I do know that I'm happier now that I finally started with my build. I was getting jealous of everyones projects and mot having one of my own. Remember-yesterday is gone, today is here, tommorrow-Maybe!!!

John,
Man your off and running. It took me all summer to get mine 3/4 of the way done. Just finished her paint. Gotta install the lights and diamond plate box and the last fender. Cant believe we can see the end of the tunnel.
Anyways good luck and enjoy your build.

Thank you for all the great comments. as the galley is taking shape :( . as I was told before its the details that  take so long. I'm having to push my finish date futher into the future. I'm still proud of how its going. I had to take a few days off to actually work at a paying job  so that I could buy more stuff for the TD. I got a great deal on a futon matteress that will work like a dream :applause: More pixs to follow. :worship:
