...novices? We have novices here  quick send them to me, I need a can of left handed pipe thread and I know that Asian needs some flightline ASAP :R

...Cutterpup, a slightly rusted can of urethane is stll ok because of the amber tint naturally ocurring in urethane(oil base only)...too much rust will turn it all orange.
Regular paint needs to be checked thoroughly and a test run or everthing might take on an antiqued appearance. Dirt may be filtered out unless it is red clay then see above about heavy rust
The same here about supermarket...your wife tau...er, ahh my wife taught me about that

Well, I got the Spar Urethane tonight and brushed on the first coat. Do you guys brush, roll or spray on the outside coat? I don't have an air compressor so it's either brush or roll. I've seen where some of you roll on with a foam roller and then drag out the bubbles with a brush. I'm putting on three coats minimum and want a glossy shine. Oh, I did buy the gloss urethane, too.

MadJack is correct, where do you think they came up with wrinkle finishes and hammered finishes? Paint technology has really come leaps and bounds since white wash!!!! Hey MadJack, can you get a fiberglass plywood stretcher in La. I haven't found any except the aluminum ones here. Doug Hodder

ChrisC...Maybe I forgot from all the clear coat fumes, but are you going to be at Minden too? If so, looking forward to meeting you. I'll be the one with the tear that weighs a ton and stinks from curing paint.....Doug Hodder

Oh yes, my girlfriend and I got reservations at the Pioneer Motel just a few days after I got wind of the gathering. We're really looking forward to it. Won't be able to get there much before noon on Saturday, but will cram as much "comoon-e-caton" in as we can. Just hope, somehow, to be able to put trailers together with names. With 150 or so trailers, that might not be possible.

...Chris, it is truly gatifying knowing that I am appreciated :chicken: by all the little people out there ;) (where's Ira)

As to Minden, I won't be able to make it because my step daughter is marrying my future x-son-in-law this weekend at our house and it is absolutely draining the life outta me and the misses

I'll be at Minden if my trailer doesn't get completely waterlogged on the way there. Looks like there is going to be plenty of rain along the way

Kevin....let's make sure we get together while in Minden. We need to talk about the upcoming thing that Dean is planning in the Redwoods, besides, we can take pictures of us there and that will help get him inspired to put his project into high gear. Your tear looks great!!, and If I find you along the way, yes, I'll help you dry it out....I should have plenty of sawdust left in mine to help..Doug Hodder
