Build or buy or leave home!

Hello new and old members;

This is a great site. I am reading everything and printing most of it.
My wife says I'm spending waay too much time on the computer.
The printer is singing an old song "change cartridge NOW".
At least I'm off the street and out of trouble; I used to be wild, but I ain't like that no more.
I've looked at a zillion small used trailers in two months and I have an appointment today to look at another!
My plan, at the moment, is to buy a small cheap trailer soon? to use while I decide which one to build. I like the Squidget and the Widget.
I'll try to keep you informed of progress.

Now I must permission of my wife to.............

Harold :thinking:

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you've been looking around for a while and have already been bitten by the bug. As you have seen, this site has numerous examples of first class teardrops built by master craftsmen and then there are those built by the rest of us. No matter how detailed or plain your tear will be you will find much motivation, inspiration and information in the many threads on the forum. Take your time in the planning stage so your tear is what you want and will serve your intended purpose.

Whatever style camper you build enjoy the building process.

My wife told me, after I was done, that she was sceptical about me building my TD. She know that I could build a house but she saw this as something different.

She loves having the TD now.

Does she know you're thinking about buying/building a Teardrop?
Build it, she'll love it also.

I'm the wife, but I'm the one who wants to build in my house. Unfortunately, the only builder's skill that I bring to the table is a wee bit of experience with Autocad from designing our first house years ago (A mini-home).

I'm in it with ya, only I don't just need consent, I need to sell the carpenter/electrician/flooring guy on the idea! We'll get there.
