Thanks Eddie and Julie. I am disappointed too but with things so unstable with the economy and things at work are very, very slow (general contractor). I feel I need to hang on to my cash right now so we have cut out all unnecessary spending and cancelled our planned vacations this year. It sucks but we are just planning ahead. I do look forward to meeting you all.

Eddie, just email me and let me know when you will be in Florida next year. I know ya'll are gonna have a great time at LCG. Take lots of pics.

I hate to be the one to continue this trend....but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it either.

If I'm still unemployed (got laid off last Friday), I'll be there both nights. If I find a job before then, I'll probably only be there Saturday night. It wouldn't be advisable for me to take off too much time on a new job, especially two weekends in a row. I just found out my son is getting married the previous weekend in New York. Even though he said he would understand if I can't make it; I have to be there for that.

As of right now, I'm not canceling my reservation for Fri and Sat nights. $36 is not going to make or break me one way or the other. If I don't use it and don't cancel, at least it will keep the motor homes out. If the worst happens, somebody could end up with a free camp-site. I'll try to keep y'all informed of my intentions.

Awwww..... so bad if ya can't make it, but believe me .. we all understand! I have a paycheck to paycheck kinda career and have lately thought of getting a 2nd job to pay off some debts ... I counted up the $ for the LCG trip , plus going to Austin in Nov for my niece's wedding... and would set aside the $ for those 2 major trips.
I did a office cleaning job before and might do that again, one of the major things about it is that I can sort of make my own hours on the weekends part of it.

This is just part of the teardrop addiction process=== the build is one thing, but then the other curse of the addiction is wanting to go camping with other teardrops and can't do it all !!!

I was looking forward to meeting you Becca. I do understand, we have had to cancel several things this year to be able to go. I am really looking forward to this trip, I have heard so much about the previous years. Maybe next time, somewhere, we will get to meet. I feel I know you already.

All the rest of you that have had to cancel: I am real sorry you won't be there. Some of you I have met and would love to see again, the rest I will miss getting to meet you in person. Seems all the world problems are sure messing with our gatherings. We will be thinking of all of you.

Looks like I will not be bringing the kayak. After 17 years in the sun it has developed a crack in it. :( It was good 17 years though. Ho well.....Anybody got a spare or a double seater? I'll bring a paddle (tehehe) and sit in the front. ;)

I don't have time to build one now

Your avatar is so cute...I could pinch your cheeks.

Oh, sorry about our kayak. We buried our canoe last year after having it about 19 years.

...well, lucky you...there is no water in the Lake this year anyway...a kayak would just be "window dressing" ....... 8)
