Agreed! There's been several that I've seen here lately that are all very good ideas.

This one, like you noted:

And this one: from the Serro Pup...

Donutboy is working on this one...

I thought there was another one, but I can't put my finger on it this second...

So where are we going with this ??? We know we have to make it as tall as we are (inside)...as wide as we are tall for sleeping crosswise, and long enough for a comfortable shower potty ... Seems like Trailer Works design works for me , just have to make it big enough for my largeness 6'3"...
Thinking 7'wide,6'8" tall...9-10' long..That's not too big huh?

as far as bed size, 54 x 80 would be great for me, but many others might not mind the shorter length, but might want additional width.

porta potty could be stored under bed to free up additional space. on the astro van I was converting into a mini rv, I had planned a bed that folded to free up space for wheel chair for my son or transporting my mother in law. but thats as far as the plans got. do to size restrictions, I settled for 80" length with only a 48" width.

Tri-fold, front part folds down to allow some ilse space, second half to flip up against the wall to leave room for wheel chair and free up space in the center of van. planning on storing port-a-potty under rear section of bed.

GPW mine is 10' and if 12' would make for enough room o really stretch out.

Thanks M, I'm now re-thinking the design to down size it a little bit...just for simplicity... Already have the big TT for evac... just need something for those short trips... After all , shouldn't everybody have two trailers..

While you guys are evacing out.. im being deployed in. So I really need to take my place to stay wit me.. Mine is gonna be a bit shorter and 6X9. Im gonna have a queen bed. Im gonna have to buy foam and custom make it tho cause its going in sideways. Im 5'4" tall so I dont need a full length bed. That will give me a lil room for some other stuff. Cooking is still outside. Im also gonna install a large tank for water. I will fill it close to disaster zone so im not carrying water across country. It will be for an outside shower. I love this thread but it needs new life. 8)
