The Future Lil Swan Coupe

Postby Classic Finn » Fri Sep 26, 2008 1:08 pm

A gentleman that I know here is planning on building this but for a motorcycle. Here the laws are different for the purpose of towing with motorcycle as towing with car.

I told him to make it bigger and make a tear out of it . However he wasnt too interested for the car since he is a motorcycle hobbyist.

What do you think? How would this look as a Woodie?
I really like the profile. Any ideas for doors shape? Kit style fenders maybe? For the car as the tow vehicle in my opinion the wheels have to sit back more correct?

Can anyone of you with computer designing or drawing experience maybe draw my ideas?

Andrew if you see this.. :) or Mike or ... ;)

Id like this in a 4.5 foot wide and 8 or 10 feet long..the hatch would be just before the back radius starts...and upward. not all the way down again ..somthing to that of a modernistic or even the Camp Inn style hatch.

Fenders?

Them fenders I looked at personally and they are not expensive at all.

20 Euro a piece .. Of course myself Id go with smoothie wheels once more. And my favorites the whitewalls ;) But wider than on the Finn Voyager.

Just my ideas rolling around in my head.

The profile is really cute and the name, Little Swan, fits it perfectly!
I like it!

Yes, absolutely - in most European countries, the limits on the size of trailer that motorcycles can tow are very tight and make it impossible to have a motorcycle teardrop. In Britain the maximum width is 1000mm (39") and the maximum length, from the bike's rear wheel spindle, is 2500mm (98").

But these are national, not European, rules so Finland may be quite different - in Spain, any motorcycle trailer is illegal, even one from another Yurpeen country that is legal where it comes from - that last bit breaks the EU rules, but apparently the Spanish police don't care!

I was playing around on the computer a bit last night and came up with this so far. Still trying to decide as to what style door would look good on it.

Hi Arne

Thank You thats a nice idea .. I wish I knew a little more as to how I can move them wheels and fenders back a bit on this photo , they are too far forward in my opinion. My drawing and playing experience with these drawing programs is very minimal.

Here,s a door idea I have.
