You shouldn't have to cut it around the wheel now. Looks fine.

Do you like those wheels and fenders? The fenders cost hardly anything here. The wheels are a different story though.

Feners look OK, just depends on the look that you are going for.

I happened to find old stock of stainless which is 0.6millimeters in thickness here and at a decent price if I was interested.

Its still light weight and its mirror polished.. Also its wide enough to cover the 4.5 feet wide. tear. It would certainly make a beautiful tear being highly polished.. :) (My opinion anyways).

You can cut around the fender, but why not move the door forward a bit?

Cutting around the fender will leave you with a 'knee whacker'....

Never thought of that Arne  How much is space is needed in between the door and fender in reality?

When I was in Spain in the middle '70's, any motorcycle over 100cc's was illegal, despite the fact that they were completely legal on the country they were registered in. They wanted to ensure than nobody could outrun La Guardia Civil on their little 250cc BMW's ;)

I agree, the profile of the Little Swan is very cute. Just wondering, Heike, have you slept overnight in your teardrop yet? Even at home. Will you get some camping in before the season ends? Looks like you're beginning number two already. Are you on your way to having the first teardrop gathering in Finland - by building two? :D 8)

Hi Don

Weve seen some real sharp and peculiar looking trailers come from Holland and Spain and basically all over Europe to visit for the summer.
The police were in surprise. It was on the news that they even stopped some of them due to the peculiar and never seen looks but it was mostly
due to curiosity and interest. Now if we locals had some of them on the Highways we,d get ticketed and fined due to the different laws.

But they were nice. Towed by cars and motorcycles.

Hi there Steve.

I spent a few nights in the yard in the Voyager  These are plans at this stage only for the Lil Swan. My friend has started on his motorcycle version for himself already. He,s welding the frame this weekend. I dont know how to weld so ..ugh. In the very 1st photo of this thread that is his
garage and motorcycle tear with the axle more towards the mid section.

And yes were going to take the Voyager out for a weekend of camping in the snow. jaaa shuuure says the sveeedes.

Its fun to design though.

Ive got the towbox for the Voyager inside the house here and Im doing the vinyl for the cover and redesigning it a bit.

I guess Im hooked on teardrops.. It will be a long dark winter so have to have somthing to do at home.

As far as a gathering.. If only we can see a few from Germany or England here that would be nice. Including what Holland and a few others.

Ive dreamed of a Finnish Teardrop gathering but when .. :?

Here,s one frame that my friend welded for a motorcycle already. He mentioned also that he has an old inventory of 6 sets of the same wheel and tire at home so I guess he plans on building a few ..
