I'm not understanding the question...

Here's a picture of the hurricane hinge. What dimension are you looking for?

It depends on which one you have...................several different suppliers all with different dimensions

I guess I am not understanding how this installed. I think I am looking for is how far it is from the roof to the hatch Thanks Jerry it looks like in the picture that it is about 3/8 to 1/2

Mike has shown the new style hurricane hinge. Below is the old version, both are available. It needs a fat 5/16-3/8 of an inch between the end of the roof and the front of the galley. It also should be recessed on the roof side to account for the 1/4" offset, just a cleaner look in my opinion. Roof side is on the right. I like this one, if done correctly, there are no visible fasteners...harder to install than the newer one, and a little heavier extrusion. The newer style hinge doesn't need to be recessed. I think the easiest way to get it where you want it is to wait till you have the project to that point, install the hinge and build the galley hatch to fit. Doug
