I think I've found a great aluminum siding adhesive!

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Check back in about 20 years and we'll see how shes holding up. Check for oil canning, bubbles. etc. Heck, just as long as it doesn't blow off driving down the road.

I know it's only been a month instead of 20 years, but how's it holding up now?

No complaints: Still stuck tight and still stretches like a rubber band in the runout and the dried on the can. I'm gonna use it on my hatch skin also.

If it's not broken, you're not trying hard enough.

I just used the Henry's 663 to put on my first aluminum side - and as Geron and Tony said: it was *very* easy to work with and clean up.

Just FYI: Home Depot does not carry the 663 in the Kansas City area but I picked up my first quart at Lowe's last week. Needing more, I went to 2 different Lowe's yesterday and they were out of stock and would no longer be carrying that product. The guy explained to me that they were going to an Armstrong product, but he said none were a direct replacement with the same qualities as the Henry 663. He did not know if this was a regional thing, or a company-wide thing - he said it depended on which distribution center each store got it's shipments from.

I was lucky and stumbled across a few quarts at a carpet installer business for a really decent price. whew!

I'll stop by my Lowes today (Leesville, LA) if they have it in bulk I will let you know. It is just my luck that once I find a product that works, it goes out of business.

How much did you need to do the job?

I will use 4 total quarts when done: 1 for each side; 1 that did the roof spars(no cover sheet below the aluminum roof sheet, just the spars themselves) and had enough left over to lay down the inside cabin linoleum. I will use the 4th for the galley hatch and door skinning.

I used a notched trowel and covered every inch of the side walls. In retrospect, if I were to do another one, I wouldn't have applied it to the whole side - I believe it was wayyyy overkill.
