I just "won" a teardrop on eBay

Postby KevinS » Sat Sep 27, 2008 3:15 pm

Is there room for one more late entry to the gathering? Are any camping spots left?

I just "won" a tear on eBay and while it is campable and towable, I'm sure I'll NEED to make some changes! I need a few experts to give me advice. ;)

Pics from eBay of my "win" are in my album.

OF COURSE OF COURSE!!!!! We've had a couple of folks that can't make it, in fact I know BillP mentioned he just took at new job so it doesn't look like he'll make it to LCG this year. So there will be his and other spots, or heck -- you can double up ! Lots of area on most of the spots so double isn't all that bad.

Be warned though --- you'll have a terribly good time!!!!
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

This is Leslie Peters in Shreveport. I have made two of LCG's at Lake Bistneaux and love it. I also went tp Petit Jean this year. I have tried to get registered with the LCG group for two years and have had people trying to help me but to no avail. It just will not go through AOL. So, I'm still not registered. However I will be in slot 24. I am the man that make the dulcimers. My wife, Dorothy and I would like to have the name tags also. Any chance? Thanks

There is one of our mystery campers. Lets add him to the Map.

The dulcimer is a stringer instrument that lays across your knees and you strum it with a pick. Very easy to play. The psaltery is an 18 in. instrument with 25 strings held in the left arm and plays with a bow, making the same notes as the violin.

I'm sorry to have to say that something has come up and we will not be able to make this year's LCG, and see our good teardrop friends again.

If someone needs a site, I would be happy to let them have ours and the deposit that has been paid. Don't know what needs to be done in order to transfer the reservation, but I'll do whatever I can. An e-mail is probably the best way to get hold of me.

We have site number 17 reserved.

Well Kevin, my spot is open. I think the Wifey was gonna call and cancel it this morning, so you might call and check on that. I'll have to look and see what spot it was. Hang on.

EDIT:
I was in spot 67.

Anyways...I got started wholeheartedly on my trailer last weekend, but there is no way I'll be anything but a flatbed trailer by the camp out date. So, we sat down, crunched numbers, and decided to use the money we were gonna spend on the trip to get further along on the build. I'm sorry we won't be making it, maybe next year-in a tear. And a very early "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to you MadJack.

Johnny...if you haven't done so already, don't cancel your reservation...cancel or not and you will still lose your deposit and if you do cancel, someone in a giant RV will end up in that spot...if you don't cancel, by the time they release that spot, it won't matter......

p.s. I was looking forward to meeting you and the family...so sorry to hear you will not be able to make it down for the fun........MJ
