Small but not a teardrop

Postby dmb90260 » Sat Oct 04, 2008 12:00 pm

This thing is tiny and seems to be on the expensive side but it should be an easy tow and will cause people to look. If you are short of stature this might be the one for you.

It is unique and located in Santa Barbara CA

Here's the one that was on Craigslist.

"This is a very rare trailer. Only 150 made in 1972 for the department of Forestry. It has had been rehabed last year. Includes bed, Frig, T.V, 2 burner stove, Microwave, sink and Hot Water heater. Easy to pull."

And this is the one that was sent to me. Also in Santa Barbara. For only 150 built and two of them are in Santa Barbara, that's interesting.

Actually, Gage the second one is in Vista and belongs to David's brother and sister-in-law. David just towed it for them to their house as they don't have a tow vehicle yet. David saw the ad for the one in Santa Barbara, I told him he should go and check it out as it looked so much like his brother's. Plus in the brother's the table/bed area was torn out when they got it as the previous owner was planning on fixing up the trailer. Plus when I was trying to find out about the one they got I couldn't find anything about it. As usual he doesn't listen to my suggestions.
Though it was interesting to read that they claimed it was rare and valuable considering my brother & sister-in-law got theirs for free.

For this trailer you don't need to be short in stature, as the trailer is built like a square box where it is almost as tall and wide as it is long. The bed (twin size?) goes crosswise as does the kitchen at the front. For a bigger bed it would need to be figured out temporary supports that go in the walk space where the door opens into.
Martha ;)
