Class of '08 Meet

Postby 2bits » Sat Aug 02, 2008 12:13 am

Man, we REALLY need to have a Dallas Meet in about 2-3 months for the new completions! There are alot of new builds going on now, I feel like it is my high school graduating class since we are all in the same stages of building! There seems to be alot of North Dallas people too... Lets keep it up and keep each other inspired!

I hope we can all finish within a few months of each other and have a class of '08 meet! Just getting excited and thinking ahead to a Dallas Meet!

LCG will be in 2 months, not quite in the area but it's only 3 or 4 hours away.

Say, there's an idea. I won't be "done", but plan to be campable sometime in September.
Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

I would like to do a local one for those not ready to travel too far, but man that LCG is an awesome park! The cypress tree parks are my favorite! yet another goal! I will definitely try for it! !

I was just looking through the calendar and Woody & Tammy's Loyd Park at Joe Pool Lake September 19-21 might work out good. Joe Poll was what I had initially planned. Just kicking things around.

Brought mine from Austin to Cedar Hill before I was done. It rained like crazy and I had all kinds of leaks. But yeah, it depends on how "finished" you are.

Joe Pool in September may be do-able. In think there is a Ray Roberts gathering in early December.

Something in between would be fun as well.

I may have mine "campable" by September (if it ever cools off enough to work on it). But between gas prices, some unexpected surgeries, and the actual cost of the build it's self, I have to chose only one, and we already have plans for the LCG. But next year....

It will be a while before we are done but Ray Roberts in December may be doable, at least that's what I'm shooting for. The gathering there last year was our first teardrop gathering ever. We tent camped and got lots of ideas. We would have looked more except we were rained out on Sunday. If not then, we will defintely be at Beavers Bend 2009, even if it kills me!

Sounds good! I am getting closer everyday, but still a month off at the min, two months would be a good estimate just due to $$$ constraints.

TidBit, come to the Ilse DuBois meeting in December. It is close to the metroplex!
