Well I glued and screwed some inner fender wells together tonight. I'm using Titebond III on all the seams/joints. I borrowed a Skilsaw table saw from a buddy and man its nice using that thing. Nice straight cuts and nice bevels...

I'm going to try to get the floor glued at the lap joint and get all the bolt holes drilled and tapped in the frame this weekend...

Well I got my stabilizer jacks and tongue jack in finally so I got those mounted tonight...

Did some work to the tongue. I wanted to be able to switch between a regular ball coupler and an off road coupler so I added a receiver tube to the tongue...

Proper way to cut the tongue :)

Well I got the deck bolt holes drilled and tapped and the fender wells glued and screwed down this weekend. It was a complete PITA taking the decking/fenders back off the frame. Apparently Titebond III wood glue sticks to metal....

Its coming along slowly. Next step is to get some shocks, button up some holes in the frame and then prime and paint all the steel and seal the bottom side of the wood...

What off road coupler are you going to use? Did you find a source in the USA?

Hey Brad-
I'm going to build my own. I have seen pictures of quite a few and it doesn't look too hard to make one...

I was just wondering, what are your plans for the inside(bottom) of these wheel wells?

I made some stainless fender flares that extend into the wood fender well enough to cover the tread of the tire. I'm going to add a coat of herculiner or asphalt post paint to them too for a final weatherproofing...

Shocks are mounted... Gabriel 81676 from Autozone. $14.99 ea. They are a replacement shock for the M416 trailer, CJ2A, CJ3B, CJ5 etc...

Frame is painted and deck is undercoated... Next big step is going to be walls I think. I need to update a few things on my 3d model and then I'll be ready to go buy some more sheets of ply...

Sounds good. Hopefully i'll be done by then :)

Well I went and bought some wood for the walls. I looked at CDX, ACX and Baltic Birch. CDX is garbage, ACX is pretty good and the BB is some high quality stuff... so I bought BB for the walls and ACX for the bulkhead. That birch is beautiful wood... Anyway... pics:

Starting to rout out insulation pockets. I opted to not laminate 1/2 and 1/4 and just bought 3/4". You can also see i routed grooves for the bulkhead and galley counter:
