Whoa. Dude. You could make a nice little side business out of selling that stuff to us here on the forums. We could tell you what you need and you go get it and ship it to us for like 10-15% over total cost. You'd make a killing and we'd get the parts we need. Think about it....

Yes, thought about it, because I like to be helpful, but someone messed up the secret. I won't name names: Ken H. Hood.

Found 'em on a Google search! From the Outback Teardrop list of suppliers:

Walt's RV Supplies

No web site. They are located at 16616 Valley Blvd., Fontana, Ca. 92335 (909) 823-0563. Very large RV salvage yard with new, used and discontinued parts. Fantastic prices. Used Hehr windows sell for $1.00 per inch in width. One of the owners and a few employees are Teardroppers too, so you won't get all those strange looks when you tell them that you're building a Teardrop trailer and need parts. I'm still trying to talk them into letting me build my Teardrop in their parking lot!

Cliff, maybe, as a public service, you need to arrange an outing/treasure hunt to Walt's. Or a gathering nearby. It almost seems worth a road trip. I see some, really too many, interesting parts. Lights, windows, door handles and locks, lots of electrical stuff, who knows what? :) 8) :D  :applause:

It almost looks like a person would need the wear a hard hat and protective gear to safely poke around Walt's storage yard. It's a toy store for a teardrop builder. Would love to browse around there. For hours. But then I'd probably pick up (more than) enough stuff for several more teardrops and the first is far from done.

Cliff, your camera skills shine again. Thanks for sharing the pics. :applause:  :applause:  :applause:

Now, if someone with Web skills, offered to set up a web page and mailorder.... think of how many more customers they'd get........

Hey Cliff, you forgot the sealing tape. And you have to forgive Ken, he's always been that way. It's his Canadian humor.

Bet I catch hell for that.

Hey Cliff,

When I click on "Click Here" for the pics, I only see your $40 purchase pic. Were there more?

When are you opening your Internet RV parts store, Cliff?

Postby Esteban » Mon Oct 06, 2008 9:51 pm

Cliff, Your myriad tantalizing pictures of salvaged parts and goodies are all gone. I'm guessing, maybe, behind the scenes you're up to something good and creative. Perhaps an eBay store? Bring it on! You've got a ready and willing market here. :D
