Sorry to announce this--due to the universe conspiring against me in unthinkable ways, I will not be able to attend this years' gathering.

I've been fighting work deadlines all year long and have been unsuccessful in changing my October deadlines. I will most likely be working while y'all are sitting around the campfires. My other big obstacle is that my good dog Jake has suffered what appears to be either a stroke, or he has an inner dear condition called vestibular syndrome. He has recovered somewhat, but his balance and strength are very impaired. No way I would try to make him make that long trip, and he isn't in a condition that I would leave him for someone else to take care of.

Regretfully, I will miss the bash. I've given MadJack stewardship of my space, so no diesel-breathing behemoth RV's are going to spoil the fun on my account.

I hope I will get to see a bunch of you at Inks in November. I'm hoping to be clear of work deadlines by then.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

My spot on the water 2 sites from the party site is still available to whoever wants it. I start work this week so it would be difficult to take time off right after starting. At "The Last Gasp", I almost convinced someone to make the trip from Colorado. They had things going on and it was too late to get out of them.

I haven't been checking this thread because I knew I wasn't going to be able to make it down.

Hey Tony

Macy and I are sorry to hear about Jake's health issues.
What a great dog. Although Matagorda Bay was our first introduction to Jake
we feel like we have known him for years.
Hope he gets better soon.

J&S...I think they are taken but we don't know by who...you can check with the park to see if they are or not...if you are looking for a site there are still a couple available....Rocky(asianflava) is not going to be able to make it, you can PM him to get the details...Jeff(Warpony) is moving over one site and his is available...PM him for his details........
