...well damnitman...I was so looking forward to meeting y'all, this is a disappointment all around...I wish ya the best on the health issues and hope things are better soon...

I would ask that you NOT cancel your reservation, since you will lose your deposit anyway and by not canceling, you will cause your site to be held until at least Sat and prevent that big ol' diesel pusher from moving in...hope to see ya on down the road, around a different campfire......

Dear Madjack,
We really wanted to meet everyone and of course the birthday emporer!

Wrote another note on the long LGCIII thread. Site is paid for so it's good for someone who can use it.

Have to send your pet alligator in the mail, I guess... :)

You and Robert would make such a perfect pair. :)

Thanks guys. Makes me more unhappy about not going to hear nice things, though! Tell me you're so glad we won't make it 'cause we sound like....... fill in the blank....

We dared to make plans... we never make plans anymore and have to just wing it.... Wanted Robert to meet some other crazy people so he'd have lots of fun.

Okay e how about this "Sure glad you can't come because we don't need nomore Yankees down there." You know I'm kidding. We were really looking forward to meeting you. Guess we'll have to get something going closer to you all, like your back yard or ours sometime.
Hope you get better.

Oh but Gary we ain't no darn Yankees! Robert was born and raised in Morgantown, WV Surely they weren't yanks. And me, all my family was still in Norway till later so we were quite unaffected.

Now I wish I could figure out a way to go, y'all make us feel so welcome. I thought we were still wallflowers . *sigh*

But whining is not a virtue. So.... can you set up a webcam down there? At least make sure someone videos. And take GOOD photos of trailers..And...and.....

Now I won't get to find out how in the world you can serve so many breakfasts and cinnamon rolls.....

Maybe we can get a group before the tornados fly

take care,

Pat, Guy,Vickie, and MaryK, thanks for the kind words! Maybe you can all have a drink for us.

I don't imbibe these days but liked Stonehill Norton (hearty!) wine and bock beer (very hearty!) Best I ever had was made at Flat Branch Microbrewery in Columbia. You could REALLY only drink about one pint. (no kidding) It was dark as root beer and had a lingering aftertaste. Lingered for 2 to 3 days, usuallyl.

It was *wonderful*! Called it "Oil Change Stout". Probably didn't take a lot of imagination to come up with that.

A few college BYOB parties taught me to avoid sweet stuff. Boone's Farm Wine was cheap. Takes a couple times to find out that you need to stop B4 you feel like you should stop.

Robert is an old whiskey salt. He likes beer too.

So, if anyone will have one for us, that would be fun. 8)

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I was looking forward to meeting you also. Maybe it will make you feel better, I am going to do your recipe for the potluck I think. I made it here and really liked it. We always enjoy Cracker Barrel. Hope the health problem is remedied very soon.

Hi Grani, GREAT! Maybe I'll have to make some for us. Going to have to eat really well that weekend so as not to go too crazy thinking of what y'all are having. Especially cajun shrimp anything and BBQ. Texas bbq.
And maybe something from Arkansas pears? :)

Thanks for the well wishes. They are appreciated.
