I have currently purchased a 1963-64 Arrow canned ham for renovation. Was originally going to convert to a teardrop, but found it in too good of condition to completely dismantle (teardrop next

). The [newest] problem I have come across is with the tail lights, and was wondering if any of you and your expert knowledge has encountered this before: I ordered (and received) new light lenses from vintagetrailer, but upon removing the originals, found the bases cracked and somewhat melted. They are Reflect-O-Lite 110-150 lights, and I have been unsuccessful locating replacement bases.
I was thinking of fabricating something, but am at a loss as to the best materials (molds/composites/etc.). As the originals are still intact, I have been pondering some sort of mold, followed by filling with some filler, but that is a lot of somes with no clear direction.
Has anybody done something like this before, or would you just coat the original bases with some sort of hardener like fiberglass. Any help is greatly appreciated.
