Anna, do'em a favor a bring some Stien's and let them taste what REAL syrup tastes like.............................. 8)

Do you mean Steen's?

A guy from New Jersey just corrected a gen-u-ine coonass about a Lew-siana staple food?

I have a bottle of it in my pantry, don't 'ya know.

Stien's would be a syrup from New York City. It normally sells for $4 per bottle, but for you... :D

OMG are we getting excited or what!!!!!!

By the way.... that pic of MJ and his chopping skills... that's from year number 1 when they made that KILLER OH MY GOD THE MOST DELICIOUS SHRIMP I'VE EVER HAD ... mmmmmmmm SHRIMP ETOUFEE... can you hear the passion....????

Any good syrup will make the waffles taste better... I don't have any killer recipe... but may put some melted vanilla bean ice cream instead of the milk.

I better go get lunch ... I"m sooooo hungry for that good South Central food!!!

EDIT : I just got back from the store... grabbed a bottle of Knott's Boysenberry syrup while there. And some wine, .... and some Seagram's VO ... and some..... oh yeah! food , yeah food.
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

Julies, I am not related to this line of Griffins but as part of the OK Griffin family from Edmond, I grew up eating goat's milk ice cream topped with Griffin's waffle syrup. At the time I didn't know it was ice cream made from goats milk - but it was so good.
