Hello From Missouri

Postby youandi » Sun Oct 26, 2008 8:17 am

Hello Everyone,

Great Site! We are from Missouri. We are into campng, canoe/kayaking, hike/backing & stream fishing. My wife and I have a small off road camper that we use to camp in the Ozark Region.

welcome!

It's always good to see fellow Jeepers camping. I like the Tentrax as well - a lot more off-road-friendly than our tear.

Keep an eye on the NorthCentral forum here for gatherings in Missouri. A couple of us are going to be at Knob Noster in a couple of weeks. Also, we tentatively have plans for Lake of the Ozarks State Park in late February(early March?)

Exminnesotaboy,

Yeppers, its always nice to see JEEPers. Thats a NICE SET UP you have, looks good. 8)

Thanks for the invite, keep us in the loop and we'll try to make a campout. Just a thought when you go down to the Lake Of The Ozarks State Park, make sure you drive down to Swinging Bridges Road. Its not far from the campground. "Its Fantastic" There are two swinging cable suspended bridges. Stop your vehicle and walk a cross first, then get in your car and drive across.
 The first bridge is short crossing a creek bed, the second is about as long as a football field. "YIPPEE"

Here is an invite:
We have an event coming up next weekend November 1st. & 2nd., and you and any of the NorthCentral group are welcome to join us. The ORCC & Bass Pro Fall Festival/Campout. The event will be held in Springfield, MO. at the Springfield Lake Park. We will have a campround set up for this event and camping is FREE this weekend. We will have a Skills Village set up within walking distance of the campground. Canoe/kayak lessons and races and much more. Here is a web link to this event, check it out. Click Here: Bass Pro/ORCC Fall Festival Event/Campout

You can also get additional information on the ORCC website.
www.offroadcampingclub.com

It would be great if you could make it and your always welcome to join us at any of the ORCC events.

Alan,
Thanks for the invites.

Can't make it next weekend due to previous commitment, but I am sure we will see you camping sometime!

I just registered at the ORCC website. I'll take a closer look once my account gets approved.

thanks for the heads-up on the bridge - I will definitely be checking that out next time I am down there.

Hi Alan and Christine,

It's good to have another Missouri couple join the group. Sorry we couldn't make your campout this weekend, but we are still recovering from the LCG III trip.

Hope you jump in and have fun.

See you around.
