Speaking of pictures ....

Everyone took great photos... me, I tend to take more pictures of people and the stuff going on ... but can't be everywhere at once!
So if you went to the end of my album you caught some of the "nightlife"... I was too pooped to even sit around the campfire after all the drinkin and dancin!!!

No, Ron (reo-ron) wasn't shopping, just checking out what to taste first. We had about 15 bottles of Missouri, Hawaii, and German wines.. even some homemade Strawberry.

Image

And no,Anna (annalbs) and Trudy (Rayvillian's better half) were not bartenders but just setting up the different wines.

Image

and then the big dance... And thanks to all who got up and danced !!!! It was a lot of fun, I hope you all enjoyed it.

Thanks to Cindy & Dave for getting the Monster Ball rolling.

Sorry, no pics of the breakdancing!!!

Cruised the backroads home with the windows down on a gorgeous Monday afternoon! It was a GREAT weekend spent visiting with old and new friends...I'm already looking forward to next year, lol!

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and kind words about the Mental Floss...I was surprised and flattered by the award, it meant alot that so many people seemed to enjoy my offbeat little creation!

Can't wait to see everyone again at LCGIV!!

:)

Yep Scott, when you 'hit' the deck for that final spin I had to grab a couple of wine bottles to keep 'em from falling (& that table wasn't even on the deck  ). Great performance tho

Just wanted to let everybody know, I really enjoyed this gathering( as it was my first). A much needed "time" away. I left Monday morning around 10:00 am and got home @ 11:00 pm( yes 13 hr trip), but i took the scenic route home through the mountains in Arkansas and went up Mt. Nebo @ dusk. What a view!!

I hope Madjack had a great B-day. Everyone i got to visit with, was more than friendly. ( i wasn't able to visit everyone---next time!)

Also a Thanks to Gary and Trudy for the breakfast and Madjack and his crew (and everyone who fed me! :D )

I can't forget a thanks for dinner on Sunday night with JIM and Susan @ Sid and Side . I thoroughly enjoyed thier company , and the peaceful evening.

Next time My wife will have to come( i'll make her!). She enjoyed all my stories i brought home.

Here is my set of pictures to contribute........

yep them little critter were planning this all year!

Oh, yeah, we had the "Little Critters" open the ice chest Saturday night, but the only thing in there was Coors Light. I figured they were getting some beer to have with the chicken. :guzzle: They apparently like the Rocky Mountain brew better than Backwoodsman. :picklejuice:

Thanks for the candies, Sonetpro!!! We now have souvenir tabasco, M&M's and the nice award for farthest distance. I'm trying to figure out how to mount it in Campie. :shake hands: The LCGIII was sure a fun time! Definately worth the drive.

I just wanted to tell everyone about the treats that Sonetpro and wife handed out. Everything was in a Halloween cup, lots of candy, pretzels, and to top it off, M&M's with LCGlll printed right on them and placed in a cute little jar with a handle on top. They went around and delivered one to every teardrop there. I also wanted to give them the credit due them even though others have mentioned it.

Thanks guys, you are appreciated. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Oh I think there might be a sick little guy down there. One of the critters bit into a plastic can of lighter fluid. Guess he didn't like it, he left it there.

:scratchthinking: I guess it was our "neighbors" Jim & Susan from Live Oak Island, FL. that had the chicken stolen by the raccoons. It's a good thing they didn't like the lighter fluid or there may be been some raccoons running around "lighting up" the campground.

Well we're finally home  As usual, was a fantastic gathering ... thanks so much for everyone letting Gary and I (and a lot of helpers) fix breakfast. We really enjoy it.

We ended up staying until Tuesday ... had a near catastrophe with Wendell ... I was taking him for a morning walk Tuesday before we left and being half asleep, didnt have ahold of his leash. A rabbit ran across the road and he was gone. I know I chased him back into the woods for at least 1/4 of a mile (he would turn around and smile occasionally) ... and then lost sight of him. I kept walking and stopping and listening (forget about him barking or coming when I would call). I finally heard some noise in the bushes and there he was ... stuck in a hole with only his head sticking out. I had to take his leash off and leave it there ....

Tuesday night stayed at Diamond Crater State Park in southern Arkansas and last night at Devil's Den State Park. I would highly recommend both if you are ever looking for a place to camp in Arkansas.

About half way home I looked out the rear view mirror just in time to see the tire on the trailer blow up :x Thank goodness we had a spare with us and were out of the mountains and on a highway with good shoulders.

It will be good to be home for a few days ... then off to Knob Noster to go camping on the 7-8-9th of November!

Once again, thanks for a great time and great fellowship with all.

Gary and Trudy
Where ever we raise the hatch is home.
Darn blank states keep getting further away and we keep traveling slower ain't never gona get this map full.

What a great time the LCG was! Kerry and I had a great time. Wanted to thank all involved in setting up a great gathering! From the all access pass name tags, to the gift exchange, to the great food, dancing, campfires, tall tales and honest stories, the Dulcimer performance and history lesson, the iPod “sample” music, the Pina Coladas and the great Cajun weather – WHAT A WEEKEND!

I also want to apologize for bailing out so early Sunday morning and not being able to say goodbye to all! Had a plane to catch, and just got home from the work trip yesterday.

It was great to see old friends, and to make new ones. Look forward to seeing everyone again!

What Loader said except the plane bit. Everyone who was involved did a fantastic job. I have tried to thank everyone personally but guess we need to do it publicly too. I always look forward to Gary & Trudy's breakfasts, they are great and guys you are appreciated. CD those name tags were brilliant, (and the pina coladas were wonderful). Can't wait to see what you come up with for next year. There were so many helping, Julie, MJ, Poor Girl, Mary K, it is hard to come up with names but we appreciate you all. Darren even met me at the car and carried my dessert to the table. I love these people!!!
