I paid $ 2.209 yesterday near St. Paul, MN.

Hope this holds out until spring for the 5,000 mile road trip I have planned.

Mr. Joe G, may I be so bold as to ask where is Frostbite Falls. Looked it up on my street and trips and couldn't locate it.
Thanks and I also hope the price of gas keeps going down. I have a 10,000 mile trip planned this next summer.

Frostbite Falls, MN is the home of some of my favorite TV stars.

It's not that low compared to the posts I've seen but $2.75 at the local Arco got my interest yesterday. I won't use a debit at Arco's anymore since one station here had a skimmer device on it and lots of victims. I try to purchase my gas at Costco even when on a trip :D Danny

8) Looks like I win again for the USA prices!
West Coast prices have got some of you beat by $1.
Filled up this morning for $3.35 for supreme, $3.25/$3.15 for regular.

And the "service engine soon" light came back on, even though I just had it fixed 2 weeks ago and a complete tune-up.

TDN ;)

Here's a link to a gas price web site called Gasbuddy.com.

If you zoom in it will show you the current prices at just about every station. If you zoom out, it shows sort of a regional gas price temperature map. It makes me feel sorry for my friends out west.

On another forum I frequent, they said that there is some kind of price war going on in the metroplex area. Gas can be had for under $2/gal.

I wish they could have price wars in MN. There's a state law here that stations have to mark-up their gas at least $.05/gal. The law was originally intended to protect the old Mom and Pop service stations from the big chains - it didn't work. They're all gone, but the law is still in effect.

Hey, here's some good news!

NEW YORK, 10/30/2008 (CNNMoney.com) -- Exxon Mobil Corp. set a quarterly profit record for a U.S. company Thursday, surging past analyst estimates.

Exxon Mobil (XOM, Fortune 500), the leading U.S. oil company, said its third-quarter net profit was $14.83 billion, or $2.86 per share, up from $9.41 billion, or $1.70, a year earlier. That profit included $1.45 billion in special items.

The company's prior record was $11.68 billion in the second quarter of 2008.
